Anne

I went to Atlanta this past weekend for a bridal shower for my friend, Anne. She is probably my oldest friend (that I still keep in contact with). She and I started getting to know each other in Middle School--we went to the same school and church. Our parents made us get involved in the youth group. We knew no one so we were each other's comfort. She moved in 9th grade to GA and we have kept in contact since. She was in my wedding almost 6 years ago and she is now getting married on MY ANNIVERSARY which I think is really special. We had a fun & busy weekend which did include going to THE PGA Tour Championship (Chip is only slightly jealous).

Uh Oh

Ella climbed under the end table the other day and got stuck. Not much else to say about this other than she was cute...as usual.

Library...Bidary

The 2nd pronunciation is the one to which Streed is partial. For the past two Tuesdays we have gone to the Hammond Library for story time. It is a great time for the kids as they listen to several stories, watch a story and do a craft based on a certain theme. The first week it was the ABC's and this past week was "colors". The moms get to talk and interact as well. I have even been able to meet a girl who is newly married and new to the area. Jill and I went to lunch with her the first week we met her and she is now coming to our "Mom's Small Group Bible Study". We are real excited about ministering to her. Her husband is leaving in March for a year to Iraq...and they have custody of his two young girls from his first marriage. Here are some pics from this past week.

Announcement

As of yesterday, Chip agreed to let this baby's gender be a surprise at delivery! I am so excited. I have an ultrasound scheduled for Oct 8 but I am going to cancel it tomorrow. We will do the big ultrasound at 20-22 weeks to check all the baby's measurements. Hopefully the ultrasound tech will not give away our surprise.

After we had Ella I said that if we had a third I would like to wait to find out since we already have a boy & girl. Chip was not a fan of this idea at first. It took a few weeks of convincing along with the help of an older, wiser man who did not find out for all 5 of his kids.

the past few weeks

Laziness, overwhelmed, busy...I have taken lots of pictures lately but have been to lazy to post them, overwhelmed about the captioning of all of them, a little busy in general. So, I decided to make a slide show rather than several different posts. Enjoy!

I'm a big kid now

I took these pictures of Ella in her high chair lately. In one she is eating like a big girl and drinking whole milk, from her bottle. The second and third she is making her funny frustrated face. I think she is upset that all of her food is gone.

More New Shoes

Although Ella got pretty white shoes a few weeks ago, she was in need on some play shoes. Her white ones were getting torn up playing at the park etc. So, Aunt Jill got her some hot pink Mary Jane Crocs. They are the cutest things and she loves them. I think she feels like her big brother. Not that he wears hot pink crocs.

Birthday Girl

Baby Girl had her first birthday this past week. It was pretty much a low key day. It began with waking her up and giving her a new Priddy book called Fluffy Chick. Later in the day we went with our Mommies group to McDonalds where we were surprised with gifts. I brought cup cakes and Ella loved hers. She got some nice gifts--clothes, dolls, toys, books etc. I think she had a good day being that she didn't have a clue what was going on. I did feel like a bad mom because I woke her up from her afternoon nap to take her to get shots! She did great though and they didn't bother her after a few seconds. We are having a joint party for she and Streed next month at Chip's parents' house.
