VACATION!

We spent the past four days at a beach house in Panama City with Jill's family. I know we just spent 4 weeks in Panama City but...these 4 days were more relaxing than those 4 weeks let me tell you!

Confession

I must confess that I am cheating on Blogger with Shutterfly. I have been working on the kids scrapbooks everytime I get a free minute (hour) on the internet. So, either that or not much has happened in the life of the Crooms' lately. We have been lying low this past week after coming home from Project.

Funny Face

Ella's new favorite thing to do is to scrunch up her nose and blow in and out while smiling. It really is the cutest thing. Even if I can't describe it quite well.

Family Photo

Taken at the project picture last week. Our photographer is coming down next week to take beach pictures. I am so excited. Now I have to figure out what to wear!

On a lighter note

This was taken our first full day in Panama City. It cracks me up because Streed looks so dorky and he really is a cool kid.

The older you get...

...the bigger and harder life issues become. The husband of a sorority sister of mine and Robyn's committed suicide this week. I plan to attend either the visitation or the funeral early next week. Please pray for Jacquline as she works through the guilt and anger and sadness that is and is to come.

Pool Park

This summer we (the staff) are blessed with unlimited access to the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort. They have just built a 1.5 million dollar toddler pool! We go there once or twice a week and Streed loves it. The water is only 8 inches at the deepest place. Ella is able to sit and play where it is only 1 or 2 inches and I can see Streed wherever he is.

Tan Lines

We have spent a large amount of time at the pool lately. We are all getting tan. Even Miss Ella is getting in on the sunkissed skin despite the application of 50 SPF sunblock. (Please refrain from leaving any comments about the dangers of skin cancer and the increase risk of getting it due to early sun exposure. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!) I thought you would like to see the tan lines on Ella. They are quite unique. I am amazed at how dark she is already.

The Former Miss Crooms

Last weekend was Chip's sister Jodi's wedding. We had a great time despite the fact that it was a night wedding which meant it fell during the kids usual dinner/bedtime. They did great. The last picture is of Dillon, Jodi's new nephew. He and Streed have been around each other a few times and they have a lot of fun together. I thought it was a really cute picture of them.
